Jamie Lane is senior managing economist of Econometric Advisors and CBRE Hotels Americas Research. Based in Atlanta, Jamie has more than 10 years of experience in economics and consulting. He manages CBRE’s team of economists for all property types, and specializes in forecasting of the hospitality industry. Other activities include conducting custom studies for investment firms and operating companies using advanced quantitative methods, and preparing research reports on contemporary real estate industry issues.
Since joining CBRE in 2010, Mr. Lane has done extensive research on the determinants of hospitality demand and created models for profit, average daily rate (ADR), supply, and demand forecasting. He has published in academic and professional journals, including the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly and the International Journal of Hospitality Management, and has spoken at many industry forums.
Jamie is an active member of the National Association of Business Economists and the Atlanta Economics Club. Jamie holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Georgia and an M.S. in Business Economics from Georgia State University.
Jamie and his wife Alex have a son, Elliot, and enjoy travel and the outdoors.
