From our experience of the Maldives market, we note a disparity of performance between resorts. Some perform strongly while other similarly positioned products perform relatively poorly. This happens for several reasons.

Firstly, close proximity to Male is often an advantage as guests can save on costs and time for additional domestic flights and enjoy flexibility in their travel schedule.

Secondly, resorts with a reputation for building personal relationships with the guests have more repeat cutomers and guest loyalty.

Thirdly, resorts with the right marketing strategies are able to access the appropriate markets to further enhance their resort's image and reputation.

Thus, it is vital for potential investors to seek the right product in order to perform well in the Maldives market.
