Tony Biddle to Lead CBRE Hotels' Consulting Practice for the Greater Pennsylvania Region

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – April 3, 2017 – CBRE Group, Inc. (CBRE) announced today that Tony Biddle has been appointed to lead CBRE Hotels' Consulting practice for the Greater Pennsylvania Region, which includes Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. Mr. Biddle is replacing Peter Tyson, who is retiring after more than 45 years in the hospitality consulting industry.

In July, 2014, CBRE Group acquired PKF Consulting USA and PKF Hospitality Research and the group began operating as CBRE Hotels in February, 2016. Today, CBRE Hotels provides numerous consulting, asset management, valuation and research services along with capital markets and investment sales services to the hospitality and real estate industries and its participants.

“In his 10 years of consulting for the hospitality industry, Tony has displayed an uncommon knack in analyzing client situations, arriving at well-thought-out solutions and communicating his conclusions to the client’s satisfaction in a myriad of locales, both domestic and foreign,” said Peter Tyson. “He is a straight-shooter who maintains the client’s best interest as his primary objective—a critical ethos in our profession. Our clients are being left in excellent hands, and I wish Tony and the rest of our team the very best going forward.”

Tony joined PKF Consulting directly after college in 2007 and has remained a vital part of the group through its acquisition by CBRE. Throughout his career, Mr. Biddle has conducted numerous market and economic feasibility studies, strategic positioning studies and participated in appraisals for hotels and resorts throughout the Middle Atlantic region. Tony has also traveled beyond the Greater Pennsylvania region to conduct conference center hotel market studies for universities.

In addition to his private sector work, Mr. Biddle has traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad to Germany, England, Spain, Japan and Guam on consulting assignments for the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force.

“We are extremely appreciative of the leadership of Peter Tyson for so many years, but look forward to the many contributions of Tony Biddle and his team going forward,” said Robert Walters, Executive Managing Director, CBRE.

Tony is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, and has served on the Philadelphia Board of Directors of the Cornell Hotel Society of Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
