CBRE Hotels Markets Nautilus South Beach for Sale

This offering represents a rare opportunity to acquire a fully-renovated oceanfront hotel in the heart of Miami Beach

Miami, Florida – January 17, 2017 – CBRE Hotels brings to market the opportunity to acquire the Nautilus South Beach, a fully renovated upper upscale oceanfront hotel located at 1825 Collins Avenue, in the heart of Miami Beach’s famous Art Deco district. Originally designed by the acclaimed architect Morris Lapidus, the Nautilus has now been fully restored to its original iconic status as one of the most outstanding representations of Miami Modern architecture. The CBRE Hotels team, composed of Christian Charre, Paul Weimer, Natalie Castillo and Jennifer Jin, is marketing the property on behalf of the seller, Quadrum Global.

“This is undoubtedly one of the rarest opportunities to hit the market”, said Christian Charre, senior vice president at CBRE Hotels. “The Nautilus is ideally situated in the most desirable neighborhood in Miami Beach, bordered by other leading Miami Beach hotels and positioned at the core of the beach’s high-end culinary and lodging scene. It is being offered fee simple, and unencumbered by brand and management.”

The Nautilus has 250 luxurious guestrooms, including 51 suites and one two-bedroom penthouse, as well as a signature restaurant offering both indoor and outdoor seating with pool and ocean views. The restored “Stairway to Nowhere” is a focal point of the lobby and one of the original Lapidus design pieces. The salt water pool and bar are surrounded by cabanas and a spacious backyard with additional seating for ultimate relaxation and poolside dining. The Nautilus is arguably the best renovated resort along Collins Avenue south of 23rd Street, the main tourist hub in South Beach.

“Miami Beach remains one of the strongest lodging markets in the county,” said Paul Weimer, senior vice president at CBRE Hotels. “Miami’s long-term lodging dynamics are very positive. Furthermore, with displacement from Caribbean islands and a newly renovated and expanded Convention Center set to reopen in the spring 2018, the Miami Beach lodging market is poised to grow faster than the rest of the country.”
