Laneway drinking and dining venue up for grabs

Melbourne, 6 June 2014 - An established restaurant and wine bar is for sale in the busy Hardware Lane precinct in Melbourne.

The Mill Restaurant & Charlie’s Bar is located at 67-73 Hardware Lane in the heart of the CBD and this year is nominated for the Australian Good Food & Travel Guide ‘restaurant of the year’.

The Mill Restaurant opened in 2006, quickly gaining a reputation as one of Hardware Lane’s best restaurants and just four months after opening it was proud to be featured in The Age Good Food Guide. Charlie’s Bar is a cocktail lounge nestled in the basement beneath The Mill.

Joseph Du Rieu and Scott Callow from CBRE are selling the business via an Expressions of Interest Campaign closing Friday 27th June at 2pm.

Mr Du Rieu said the reputable food and beverage business attracted a good crowd during the week and the weekends, with a 3am licence on Friday and Saturday.

“This is an established business in an attractive Victorian building with plenty of atmospheric laneway outdoor seating. We believe it will suit a variety of operators looking to either run the business as is, or who want to put their own stamp on the place,” Mr Du Rieu said.
