CBRE Hotels Selected to Market Hilton Rose Hall Resort

Montego Bay, Jamaica – May 15, 2014 – CBRE Hotels has been exclusively engaged to market The Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in the heart of Jamaica’s renowned Montego Bay, one of the Caribbean’s most popular destinations. The 489-room Hilton is set on the legendary 18th-century Rose Hall Plantation and offers access to 1,800 feet of private beach along magnificent turquoise waters.

“Montego Bay remains one of the Caribbean’s most popular, and beautiful, unspoiled natural environments. This is a rare opportunity for an owner to acquire an unencumbered asset in a destination where demand is rapidly growing,” said CBRE Hotels’ Christian Charre.

Montego Bay, Jamaica’s second-largest city and the country’s most popular destination, has evolved into one of the Caribbean’s most successful regions. Jamaica’s tourism industry received an additional boost last year with new air linkages. Tourist arrivals from South America grew by 15.9%, and Jamaica led other Caribbean nations with a 5.5% increase in visitors from Europe.

Jamaica’s upward trending market is also evident through the improving performance of upscale resorts. Luxury and upscale hotels in Jamaica achieved a 26.3% gain in RevPAR for the trailing twelve months (TTM) ended February 2014.

The Hilton Montego Bay was exceptionally well-designed to maximize views, with more than 70% of the room inventory afforded stunning water views. It was the recipient of the 2013 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award based on outstanding traveler reviews and has undergone approximately $55 million in renovations since 2005. The lobby, guestrooms, restaurants, façade and roof received significant updates between 2006 and 2008. The new owner will have the choice to operate the resort with the Hilton brand, re-affiliate to another brand or operate as an independent property.

The Miami-based CBRE Hotels’ marketing team for the Hilton includes Senior Vice President Christian Charre, Vice President Paul Weimer and Associate Natalie Castillo.
