CBRE Hotels EMEA brings the Doubletree by Hilton Edinburgh city centre to market

London, 29 May 2014 - CBRE Hotels EMEA has been exclusively appointed to sell the recently rebranded Doubletree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre Hotel (formerly trading as The Point, Edinburgh). The sale offers investors and hotel operators the rare opportunity to acquire a business with a top worldwide brand, and a freehold (heritable) property.

The newly renovated Hotel boasts 138 bedrooms and suites, extensive food and beverage space including the Bread Street Brasserie restaurant and the “Monboddo” Bar. It also comprises 3 meeting rooms, including a penthouse suite meeting area. The penthouse suite has spectacular views of Edinburgh city and Edinburgh Castle and is popular for corporate events, launches and weddings.

The opportunity includes the freehold title to the Chanter pub on the ground floor and basement, let to a strong tenant at a rent of £87,500 per annum.

Paul Collins of CBRE Hotels EMEA commented: “This is a prime Edinburgh asset which  presents extremely well having recently been re-branded.  We expect there will be significant interest from investors who recognise the strength of the Edinburgh hotel market as well as the opportunity to grow the business having a superb brand in place.”
