CBRE Hotels strengthens its Asia team

Sydney, 24 June 2018 – CBRE Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of Junrong Teo to further support the firm’s evolving CBRE Hotels global platform. Based in Singapore as Associate Director of CBRE Hotels, Junrong’s appointment is a strategic move to leverage his client relationships and serve as a key link in this platform, providing clients across both Asia Pacific and Europe with seamless connectivity.

Junrong will take on a dual role – brokerage and advisory for all hotel dealings in Asia Pacific whilst serving as an integral component of the EMEA Asia Desk. Both of his roles will involve sourcing and managing Asian capital for hotel opportunities in the APAC and EMEA regions, whilst working with the global CBRE Hotels team on cross-border hotel assignments.

Junrong has been a key member of the CBRE Hotels division for over five years. He began his career at CBRE in the Singapore office in an advisory role, covering the APAC hospitality sector, gaining extensive experience in the valuation and consultancy fields. During this time, he was involved with numerous hotel advisory appointments and investment sales throughout the APAC region.

In London, Junrong was an integral part of the CBRE Hotels Asia Desk, a team responsible for channelling inbound Asian capital into the EMEA region. Leveraging the experience gained in his previous role as lead coordinator for intra-regional and outbound capital flows, Junrong worked closely with the EMEA cross-border investment properties / brokerage team in advising Asia-based investors.

“Junrong will not only create a stronger link between our Asian clients and APAC and EMEA offices, but his on-the-ground physical presence in Asia will be invaluable to the broader team,” CBRE Hotels’ Executive Director of Asia Pacific, Robert McIntosh.

“The AUNZ team are eager to utilise Junrong’s expertise to build on our existing relationships with key Asian clients developed over the years. We are always striving to serve our Asian clients (who in recent years have become increasingly more international) better, and Junrong’s role will be of crucial importance to achieving this,” Wayne Bunz, National Director of CBRE Hotels Australia.
