CBRE Japan appoints Naoki Yoshiyama to lead Hotels business

CBRE are delighted to announce that Naoki Yoshiyama has joined today to lead our Hotels business for Japan.  Kiyoshi Tsuchiya, who has successfully led the re-establishment of our Hotels business for the last two years, will work with Yoshiyama-san in further developing our presence in this space.

Yoshiyama-san has 20 years of experience in real estate and finance, including 10 years in hotel investment activity.  He joins us from Five Star Partners, a boutique hotel investment consultancy that he established in 2011.  In his four years with the firm, he built a successful track record in advisory, brokerage, and investment sales, taking advantage of the solid relationships he developed with major domestic and international hotel players.

Before founding Five Star Partners, Yoshiyama-san was Vice President of Asset Management and an Executive Committee member of Ishin Hotels Group where he was responsible for leading the company’s hotel investment business.

Prior to Ishin he held senior roles with Capital Advisers and GMAC Commercial Mortgage Japan.  He began his career at Bank of Tokyo where he was largely responsible for the corporate banking activities.

He is a graduate of Hokkaido University with a Bachelor’s in law, and he holds a Master’s of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University in the United States and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
