Amelia Lim Joins CBRE Hotels as a Vice President for Valuation & Advisory Services in Hawaii

Los Angeles – August 4, 2015 – CBRE Group, Inc. today announced that Amelia Lim has joined CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services practice as a Vice President in Hawaii. Ms. Lim will partner with CBRE’s top clients and valuation professionals to provide advisory services to owners and financial institutions with interests in hotels and resorts located in Hawaii and the Pacific. Ms. Lim's areas of expertise include investment and operating strategy, market analyses, feasibility studies, valuations, operator selections, and management/franchise contract negotiations.

“Amelia is a highly respected, well-known and proven consultant with extensive experience who will tremendously enhance our lodging sector capabilities in the Hawaii market. I could not be more excited to have her join us as a key professional as we continue to evolve our global hotel advisory offering,” said Kevin Mallory, Senior Managing Director of CBRE Hotels.

CBRE also bolstered its hotel advisory services with its acquisition of PKF Consulting Inc. (PKF Canada), a leading advisory, consulting and research firm in Canada specializing in the Canadian hospitality and tourism industries. The acquisition, which was announced this morning, follows CBRE’s purchase in July 2014 of PKF Consulting USA, which provides similar advisory and consulting services for the U.S. and global hospitality sector.

“We expect Amelia’s multiple talents will be very attractive to clients needing advisory and consulting services on hospitality and complex assignments. She will be a perfect fit with CBRE Hotels’ consulting and capital markets professionals, as well as Jim Hallstrom’s team of valuation specialists and consultants in Honolulu,” noted Richard West, Senior Managing Director of CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services.

Kimberly Lord, Senior Managing Director for CBRE’s Hawaii Region, added, “Amelia further enhances our entire business offering in Hawaii and, in particular, our investment and brokerage service lines. She is one of the leading experts in commercial real estate, advising many leading global, institutional and private investors. We are fortunate to have Amelia as a part of our organization.”

Ms. Lim commented, “I am thrilled to join CBRE, the largest commercial real estate company in Hawaii. The CBRE team has unparalleled knowledge of Hawaii and the Pacific due to its deep relationships with the top owners and investors in this region. This granular level of market insight and extensive local experience, coupled with the cross-disciplinary expertise of the rapidly expanding team and the company’s global reach, will position us to deliver best-in-class advice and execution. I am particularly excited about the comprehensive support that CBRE can provide in terms of development and renovation advice, as well as acquisition due diligence services across all property types, including hotels and resorts.”

Prior to joining CBRE Hotels, Ms. Lim served as an Executive Vice President for JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group. During her 16 years with the firm, she was a project team leader and primary client contact for acquisition due diligence assignments, renovation reviews, development analyses, operational assessments and appraisals/valuations on more than $5.5 billion in hospitality assets and portfolios. She also arranged more than $2 billion in hospitality sale transactions.

Before joining JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group, Ms. Lim was an Associate Director for Insignia/ESG, and she began her career as an Analyst with HVS International.
